No Ice Allowed In My Family
What’s the awful noise I hear?
Worse than a mosquito by my ear.
Like nails screeching across a board.
Want to pull my ears off, help me Lord.
What’s got me so upset you say?
My sister chewing ice, crunching away.
Any ice I see around
Dump it out, on the ground.
Sigh of relief, assuming all is well.
THEN, that sound is heard again.
Now, her granddaughter’s crunching ice
Someone, someone please make it end.
