No Fire

Silent tongues speak louder Than love-drunk poets Numb lips say more than A thousand kisses could shout And I sit here and pout How you won’t speak And I seek reasons to hurt Thoughts flirt with romantic evils I make deals with d’evils Give myself grounds to cry Even with no ground under my feet I give my heart reasons to sigh Dead eyes don’t weep Dead hearts don’t beat Dead souls don’t live My lungs cease to breathe Want to leave but stuck Your last lightening struck My core no more nights Writing to ease the internal fights Writing to wish your heart home You’re gone and I have to close My doors even though you’ve fled With no cause With no pause My fingers wail With no victory My fingers have failed You don’t answer This love is my heart’s cancer Ripped apart by this disease You won’t come home to ease my pain You wont return to cease the rain Clouds still left grey Dark clouds dance in my sky All day I’m sad Cause my heart lost The best love I ever had My heart’s joy The light in my soul Has gone out
