No Candy Here

Sorry boys and girls, Please don't think I'm mean; Ain't no treats this season, Not this Halloween! The porch lights ain't workin', To kiddos on the streets; Tricks are on the menu, And you won't find no treats! Our kids are all grown up, I guess we've lost the mood; We ain't rotten people, Pardon our attitude! My sweetie bought some candy, Perhaps a bag or two; I'll toss 'em in the cooler, What else are we to do?! Sorry boys and girls, We ain't feelin' this scene; Maybe in a year or two, But not this Halloween!

I usually buy bags and bags of candy and get 2 or 3 kids....I live out in the sticks. ThenI spend the rest of the night eating it myself. HA...Ha.....I guess the trick was on me as I sit here and look at my thighs. Lainie

I got a good chuckle out of this one. The rhyme works well to help set the tone. This is wonderful. I enjoyed it. Thanks for the day brightener. Karen

Hi Milton - There are times that the stresses of life just get us down and it's hard to be uplifting - I used to love taking the kids trick or treating but my injuries last year left me waiting in the car and this year I'm forced to be the candy passer outer - I'll keep you in my prayers and hopefully next year things will be better for you - God Bless
