How did I not see all of this from the start? Blinded by your reflection in the stars above I couldn’t see that lost look in your eyes Took your passion and confused it with love The disconnect with the pain you disguised Looking back now, it seems like such a joke Unspoken truths you thought but never wrote Stick this in your pipe and have a nice smoke I can’t say you even deserved my last bus note Thought you were an angel sent down to earth But you were the demon, from dreams forgotten The smokescreen you displayed, and called it rebirth A sweet candy apple shell, the core was so rotten So I don’t care anymore, I’ve changed the final score Cleansed your poison from my body, and from my mind Found the lure to recast my line and discovered more Release yourself, you’d be surprised what you’ll find
