Night of Freedom
Locked away within her room,
A battered woman met with doom.
He came with force and full of rage;
The little room became her cage.
Nowhere to run, nowhere to go,
She fought back with each and every blow.
She knew sometime she had to sleep,
There was a promise she must keep.
Growing weary, he went to bed
She packed her bags and held her head.
She cleaned her face the best she could,
Athough it didn't do much good.
All ready to go without a doubt,
Threw open the door and then ran out.
She got away from the horrid shack,
Finally free, she never looked back.
