Night In the City

With a sprightly gait and a bag full of dreams I confront this concrete jungle, uncharted as it seems Like a maiden with a sparkle in her eyes Luring with beautiful lies A smile, giving light to darkening skies A cheeriness that utter strife belies Neon lights, head lights, street lights, city lights In broad night light, who needs a flash light? Being here, it feels right Find love, I just might Blurry yet so bright Fleeting, soon it takes flight Like a graffiti of colours Brilliant and belligerent Lights dancing at night hours Radiant and iridescent By music in the moonlight, I am happily greeted A breezy tranquility, sonorously interrupted
