Night Dream

when I was a child the evenings would be so long lying in bed I'd cry and I'd pray i hoped for a better life patient, waiting, longing awake in night I would stare i'd look through the ceiling and night dream of future plans i'd never leave my wife i'd always love my children i'd tell them how proud i am i'd give them a wonderful life now i'm a grown man i have my wonderful wife two fantastic children i have a wonderful life but at times i still remember those nights when i was alone the nights i was up and crying wishing i lived in a happy home tell your children you love them marry a wonderful wife give your children something different let them enjoy their nights
