Why this tragedy
To hurt most harshly
Faces so comely?
By this temple grounds
Where prayers abound
So much pain now sounds
Why must evil seek
Such insidious peaks
To injure the meek?
Watch the bitter make
Forge bloodbath and stake
Lame murder that takes
Newsy news right here
Where pain corners fear
Scarlet stains purge cheer
A world gone mad feeds
Perversion that bleeds
Beyond wit or need!
