Newborn

She stood there On that field wispy strands of brown hair twirled about her vision She was there like in a dream New and wondrous but dazed as she stared without even knowing whirls of wind zoomed by and sounded humming deeply in her ears a faint beep of an alarm clock echoed in the distance chatter from other life forms floated in the air like happy reunion but there was no memory of the things that sounded so she could not isolate one from the next and they melted together held by nothing but still there was an awareness a sea of moving sounds and colours waiting, ready to be discovered
