New Lease On Life
New Lease on Life…
I’ve got to prove it to myself
And not to anybody else
I’ve got a new lease on life
Sharper than a razor or any knife
I’m in search of better things
Not the fame and fortune they might bring
If I want to live, I’ve got to give
Push myself a little harder
Reach new peaks that hide
I’ll seek them
Surge ahead, run a big risk
There must be more to life than this
Laying around, lost not found
Dusk till dawn without ambition
Breaking loose and free
Eluding the noose again
I’ll have to change my ways but I’ll remain the same
I have dreams like you but they won’t die, they’ll come true someway
More of this and less of that, but I won’t refuse a good excuse
To through it all away…
If I want to live, I’ve got to give
Push myself a little harder
Reach new peaks that hide, I’ll seek them
I’ll break my neck, keep working hard
It’s better to feast than it is to starve
Do my best to pass every test
In search of better things, like
Reaching new peaks that hide,
I’ll seek them…
Proving it to myself
And not to anybody else
I’ve got a new lease on life
Sharper than a razor or any knife
