New Dawn

One bright light was snuffed out by a crystal mist smoky white tendrils weaving paths of promise and destruction through his mind, body and soul My own sacred garden grown thick with weeds of discontent, vacant covered in a winter blanket of icy protection longing for his warmth Watching in despair and helplessness his bright sun shrinking vanishing towards oblivion... then totally eclipsed The stranger who claimed to be my husband these last few years died as the man I married fought for his life Then, the fragile flowers of my heart felt his new and dawning light calling forth the spring blossoms tender petals slowly unfurl The Hummingbird returns to my dreams.
