Nevermore
Food has lost its flavour,
The air, its scents.
The body now is numb,
Hope has fled its place.
Peace comes no more,
Turmoil has come.
Desperation and sorrow,
Now are all that is known.
Nevermore, a smile.
Nevermore, a laugh.
Nevermore, a kind word.
Nevermore, being glad.
Nevermore, peace.
Nevermore, joy.
Nevermore, loving whispers.
Nevermore, an embrace.
Life becomes a burden,
Death is no escape.
Nothing more but sorrow,
For Hope is finally dead.
