Never Wrestle With a Pig

Never Wrestle With a Pig By Elton Camp “I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig, you get dirty; and besides, the pig likes it.” - George Bernard Shaw If you become the victim of personal attack There is usually little point in fighting back If it’s untrue, the attacker is only a swine Who’ll be encouraged to continue to malign React when your supposed faults he’ll mention And he’s delighted since he got your attention Try to respond and no matter what you do Some of the pig’s dirt will rub off on you Such a slanderer we all should abhor And say nothing--it’s best just to ignore

I've done the same and so write from bitter experience. Thanks for reading and making a comment. Elton

On another site where I posted this, a reader commented with "Grade D -" and nothing else. How satisfying a fist to his jaw would be, but then I remembered my own advice by way of GBS. Thanks for reading. Elton
