Never the Same

A friend and I were talking one day... about how much fun it would be... to revisit the place where I grew up... wondering what I could see. I got in my car and preceded to go. Never stopping to consider what time may show. If I'd only known then... what I know now... I surely would have reconsidered. As I drove on... I brought up scenes, of the area I grew up in... with it's well groomed yards... and quiet streets... a small corner store...where I'd buy my treats. I was still in my car and continued to go. Never stopping to consider what time may show. If I'd only known then... what I know now... I surely would have reconsidered. When I arrived...my past crashed into the present. Nothing was the same...I was shocked with the change. My life it was altered...never would be the same. My past use to bring sunshine...now it brings rain. P.R.Deremer
