Never Good Enough

What's wrong with you? Is all you ever said to me. You said I am nothing, but I just don't agree. Who do you think you are? Do you think you can read my heart? You don't know anything about me. Can't you see the good inside of me? If only you knew, what I know about you, then, maybe, you could understand, the kind of man I am, and for what I stand. I know, I know, you've had a hard life, but why do you think that gives you the right, to look down on me, to criticize everything, Don't you know...how could you know... That everything you say and do, affects everyone around you, affects me too. Despite everything I've seen, even your envy of me, I can still see, all the good in me. Your point of view cannot change, what I believe. Your animosity, cannot change my point of view, I really do just feel sorry for you. If only you could eradicate your jealousy, then you would be happy, like me. Life's so much better without envy. John Derek Hamilton November 13,2013 Revised from song lyrics October 24,2015
