Never Forget
Two years ago today
in a quiet small town,
all the excitement was gone
happy feelings were drowned.
Christmas presents were bought
for each and every one,
until someone had shown up
and shot them with a gun.
A little tiny school
where babies were being sent,
all innocent enough they were
but a gunman was acting hellbent.
He took their lives away
the world that day stood still,
the gunman broke into the school
and had the intent to kill.
Teachers tried to protect
but some, to no avail,
the protection was ripped away
they didn't mean to fail.
Eleven days before Christmas
the small school in Newtown, Connecticut,
twenty-six people lost their lives
and we shall never forget.

I can't believe it has been two years already since these teachers and innocent babies lost their lives, because of a gunman. I just wish this kind of violence would stop and stop forever. Nobody deserves to die (especially this close to Christmas).
