Never Fight Alone

I got mad. Didn't know how to use my energy. So I made this song on the piano. I want to sing it with my brother when he's better. I hope he does get better soon. Dedicated to David. Just been so angry lately. And so sad. . . ----------------------------------------------------------------- Verse I: (David) I was alone What can I say? I was lost Couldn't pray I was trapped In their games I regret it Everyday Verse II: (Laura) I was jaded By my sin Never sweated Anything Couldn't sleep Couldn't dream I was scared Of everything Chorus: (David) Within me lies a battle A war I just can't fight alone Can you hear me now? This piece tears my heart; but of course we know why. The message and the reasoning for this lyric is heartbreaking but in the end you were stronger than you could imagine. You pulled through-as did David-- and now you guys can pick each other up and carry on. I'm sorry what happened did happen, but I am glad now that everything is alright. Don't be angry with yourself- it wasn't your fault... You are a great person and a fantastic sister to David. Don't forget it. Love you, always Becca

Life echos in tears shed. Sometimes words cannot say what the heart wants to hear. What you felt expressed an emotional tide pool of love and fear. In praise I salute you.

The fact that you love your brother is evident and powerful. There is a jewel inside of you that these words telegraph to all of us out here. We do live in a most strange and wonderful world, but a lot of things happen to us that are difficult and challenging. I am thinking about your brother and wishing him well. Please tell him that I hope he is OK. I have read his work not so long ago and have a lot of good feelings for him. We just control so little in this vast mysterious ocean.

Music is the key to life. It says words everyone understands. Follow you passion. I know how you feel. I did it live for 20 years, but it's not the same as writing to/for a person. It's so much more intimate. I hope you find him and he listens. Kilmer
