Never Blind

You see things from a distance With an insight crystal clear A spark ignited in your fragile heart You took a chance to hold it dear But the signs were exposed so quickly You felt the cold wash upon your soul The silent push was very heavy And was out of your control You dont hang your head or wallow For youve been in this place before Even if you felt something for a moment It was still a blessing you never had before You never asked for anything You only looked for someone to care Now you must back away so graciously As you see nothing left to share. Sometimes when you can read people Its just not what you expected to be revealed True nature always comes to the forefront As another scar that has to heal. In life God blesses you with many gifts Of this I cannot ever deny But the gift of sharing my heart with another Has always seemed to pass me by
