Some mistakes can never be undone No matter how hard you try And how much you cry Some mistakes can never be undone Some words can never be retrieved Though you explain them away And try kinder words to say Some words can never be retrieved Some wounds can never be healed Though you use the best care And wish them not there Some wounds can never be healed Some hearts can never be mended Though promises you make And swear by love’s sake Some hearts can never be mended Some minds can never be restored Though you try to retrace And make amends by grace Some minds can never be restored Oh, love me once more Though I was wrong And I couldn’t be strong Try to love me once more

This is a lovely poem! I love how you've used repetition to stress the points. How true, that some boundaries once closed can never be retrieved. Nicely done Eileen!
