Neglect

As the sun rises on this earth, The same sun sets on my sense of self-worth. I’m lost in the beauty that I’ve found In being alone with nobody around. A new day is born unto us, And I’m left to rot and collect dust. Forgotten by all, loved by none, Never the one to have any fun. Neglected by beloved, Love scarce, but highly coveted. I can’t go on like this for much longer, And they’ve made it clear that they’re stronger. I’m weak in every sense of the word, I’ve been kicked out of my own herd. There’s nobody to talk to, nobody who’ll listen, So I just lie there as the tears glisten.
