Needs of Man
When profit guides the needs of man,
the wise withdraw to where they can
look closely at just what they need,
although it's true you must succeed
in feeding family and provide
the things that keep us all alive.
When things look bleak and fall apart,
look deep for what is in your heart.
Don't let the bastards grind you down,
or even let them see you frown.
Just bare your soul for all to see,
a winner then you’ll always be.
No matter what the deed is done
I’ll still continue having fun,
for when you've lived as long as me,
important things have changed you see.
They're not the things that you can buy,
but those you carry when you die…
