Nature Rules

As the seasons change, nature shows her power bringing all the things needed for healthy growth. The rain that in turn, beats down and then gentles. Encouraging young shoots to root deep and thrive. The days lengthen growing ever warmer all around are signs of life that nature in all her wisdom tends with tender care. Bringing a vast array of colours setting pallet alight. Then with rage she turns and shows her displeasure in graphic detail as she destroys what she created. Rage that we mere mortals dare defy her and she lays waste to crops with hurricanes and tornado's. How to appease her awful deadly wrath? Maybe by working with nature instead of against, following her gentle rhymes and doing away with fossil fuels, growing trees to stable corroded earth. Living in harmony and trying to do no damage to this beautiful place we call our home. Yes give respect to nature and she will return it over a hundred fold and life will live on peacefully.

My first thoughts were, well, that sounds just like people who get angry and destroy friendships, with tornadoes and earthquakes of emotion. Eruptions of anger! We should respect, care for and nurture our friendships, and do the same for God's good earth. Your poem is a wonderful reminder of that. Blessings, Darlene
