Nature of Man
The quantity of our empathy shall be derived from the shadows of deceitful acts and lies
We dare not taunt or question the empathy we feel
But caring and giving in this day and age.
We set our self up for disappointment
For with feeling it is our heart we wage
We are young and naive
Through all the warnings about mans' kind
We do so easily believe in that there is good in man
But with years gone by the shadows of deceit and lies darken our hearts and lives
Poison has trickled through our youthful optimism and bright smile
Yet only to prove that once again the nature of man has devoured another pure soul.
