I think I'm part Cherokee and my oldest daughter was conceived on Indian ground. She had an astrologer tell her she was an Indian warrior and Victorian lady in a previous life. Who knows? :-) Ellen

Very nice Haiku in honor of the Paiute Native American. Yes, those years are gone. Thanks for bringing them back in thoughts. Thank you for your very nice, encouraging and uplifting comments on my poem, HG Daniel. You do me much honor with your words. Best wishes, Caroline.

A very nice take on the contest, HG. I wish the Paiutes were still paddling through the mountain streams today. We have lost so much in the name of progress. Lovely haiku! Best wishes for success in the contest. Love, Carolyn

And now we grieve for a culture almost lost to the modern world--a people in touch with nature instead of destoying it. Much to think about in your words. Good luck in the contest. Karen
