Grey gravestones stand erect like soldiers. Fallen heroes in nameless graves, they fought for king and country and paid a heavy price with their precious lives. We should give thanks and pray for those who died. *gravestones classed as 2 syllables NOT 3 as per how many syllables Sponsored by Broken Wings Form N Ninette or Nonet 04~21~17

You have done an exceptional job on this, Jan! I have noticed on the how many syllables is not always correct! GL

Its absolutely crazy ...If I put in 'grey gravestones' it shows 4 if it put grey grave stones its 3 ... quite bizarre but I know most sponsors are aware of the glitches and if you note it on your poem they do take note of the inconsistencies of the syllable counters:-) hugs Jan xx
Date: 4/21/2017 6:58:00 PM
Pray Jan We should bow at there stones then maybe we would not take there sacrifice in vain we have forsaken there sacrifice and should be ashamed

I used 'pray' as I based the poem on remembrance Day - maybe I should change it to 'honour'.... I've visited Arnhem Christopher seeing the sea of graves is something that will always be with me:-( hugs Jan xx

Excellence has a way of shining through, Hallelujah! The first line is a beauty ... contrasting with soldiers at attention (duty) now unable to stand erect. Yet we lie prostrate at the end - horizontally erect, LOL. Enjoyed the art here, though sad subject. Shalom & hugs); Angel is coming up behind me
