Naive Gesture

Such an irresistible naïve gesture
from
those sparkling
bedroom eyne
Yes
slowly
with a softness
which even at a distance
I could feel
the silk slip to the cold wooden floor
fell
Out came the ink
and the slip
and they too
fell to
the cold wooden floor
