Mystery
Must be someone at fault
When our love slips away,
Surely someone’s to blame
When it seems love won’t stay?
When you’re feeling its loss
But you don’t feel in charge
And disaster is all
That you find looming large.
When world seems to reveal
That you’re not here alone
And your lifeline’s used up
You’ve got no one to phone.
Damn, you’ve been here before
But somehow you can’t win,
And you can’t really see
The loss coming from sin.
Are there cycles for Love,
(Comes and goes like a rose),
No real power to last,
Seasons all that Love knows?
Love itself be at fault
Expectations awry,
Definition be wrong,
Faith in wrong samurai?
What if Love is not God,
Does He even exist?
And Big Bang really all
That is found to persist?
Well the mystery’s this,
It’s true question I swear,
How true love can still drown
If we’re swimming in air?
