Myself In the Mirror
If I see myself in the mirror of my thoughts
I laugh so hard that I cry
For I’m a product of broken pieces
Smoked away in different shades
Of broken dreams
When I look at myself in the mirror
I almost got choked in smiles
Or maybe I laughed too hard
I laugh insanely at the shredded image
The image I had thought would dazzle today
When I see myself in the mirror
I could hear him say;
Hey! Edison, you’ve become a scorn
And a thorn
In the flesh of lot.
When I see myself in the mirror
I laugh until I choked
For how could life turn out this way
Giving me 32 years of nothingness
How should I just exist with no trace of living
Year in, year out with no trace of happiness,
Maybe I did laugh too much
At the person in the mirror.
