My Yellow Poem Written With My Pink Pen
The memory of sunny days and lemon drops
crowd my yellow poem, like the scent of lemons
for lemonade...and your laughter flowing
like sunbeams, through the windows of my heart,
lighting and filling a dark empty room.
Oh! I danced through wild flowers, ablaze
in a spring field, locked in your arms.
Ah! Sweet memories!
My yellow poem sings like concert canaries as
my pink pen scribbles each word...
We were in love!
