My Windowpane

I wake To the drumming Of the rain Against my windowpane I remember the pain Of the promises lost I think back It wasn't that long When it all went wrong The dream ended The nightmare began I look out and think How do loving souls Entwine and bind Only to implode And leave a black hole Where two souls Once lived and loved As the rain Drums against my pane I fall back in the dark With visions of you Dancing on my windowpane
