Sometimes when a person is growing up they go through some pretty awful things.

They form rifts between themselves and the people who truly love them.

They are angry and want to be their own boss and not be told what to do any more but this is the time when they need guidance the most.

They fail and fail and fail again and turn their back on their family because they are too ashamed to admit they were wrong and what they have gotten themselves into.

They don't seem to realize that when it comes right down to it the only people they can really count on are the ones they have turned their backs on.

They don't realize that if they will try to straighten themselves out their family will still be there for them to help.

But they have to be willing to follow rules. No matter who you are, what path of life you follow or where you go there will always be certain rules that must be followed.

You were doing drugs and boozing, But I hung onto you. I would nod at all your lies, As though I thought them true. I wouldn't give you money, 'Cause I knew where you would spend it; So you took other measures, Though you knew I'd be offended, If I found out where you were, and all that you were doing. I sat at home and wrung my hands, Wondering what was brewing. Still I hung onto my baby, I'd never let you go. I'd fight for you with my last breath, Though then you didn't know. I loved you then, I love you now. You'll always be my child. Through Hell and back I've been with you, Yet you still revile, The one who's always been there, To soothe and dry your tears. No matter what may come our way, I'll dry my children's tears. No matter what the circumstance, No matter what you do, I'm still your mother, you're my child, And I'm there for you.

A deep description of a mother's unending love, a picture of the terror we cause them and a mother's revelation of how much she did just so as not to lose us... Quite e detailed and factual piece.
