My War

There is a war And I am one fighting within A bloodshed I hadn’t known to befall Without the cause or the means Blindly following what others do I fought gallantly and was commendable What I’m fighting for, its like I knew For a life to be far from bearable Everyone else but my cause Everyone is happy as long I follow Then like a grenade I toss I’m no longer the hero A deserter... an outcast Shamed into believing what I believe Never more to what I ask I began to see of the battles to achieve I have no reason to fight your war When everyone do not know why they belong Are you still fighting for? As an outcast I rather begone
