Its hard to imagine as the pendulum swings how life would have been if id slowed down things. And now the ground shakes as the giants collide, trying hard to picture what I really feel inside. Maybe if I stayed and never left your side your smile I would see rising like the tide. But in the end I blew it like everything I try, leaving you so lonely and signing up to die. As I look upon your picture gripped tightly in my palm, ill do my best to come back and hold you in my arms. Staring at a pretty face with eyes so pure and true. Knowing your so far away has got me feeling blue. The truth is that I love you which is really hard to say. Knowing that ill never get to see you every day. Would you even believe me if I told you this was true? Told you that I loved you? Because believe me babe, I do. But in the end ill try to do exactly what I can, to make your life so perfect because I want to be your man. And when this war is over and all the flames have died, I pray to god you'll be there, standing by my side.
