My Song For You

I'm so tired of writing the songs in my head, Lyrics unheard, and the verses unsaid. They need to be spoken or sung in a song, Held up in captivity, imprisoned too long. We speak to each other, words in and words out, A murmer, the whispers, just talking, a shout. But, the true song I'm singing stays locked in my head, It's not even close to the words that I've said. The song that I'm singing is my song just for you, It's all in my head but each word of it's true. It won't leave my lips or float soft thru the air, But please know my song is for you, always there. The song that I sing speaks of beauty and love, Two birds of a feather, like the flight of a dove. It's you and me together, holding hands side by side, On this mystical journey, just along for the ride. Supporting each other with a love O so deep, Knowing the comfort, theres a love, ours to keep. A synphony plays each note in my head, My song for you echoes with words never said. I hope that someday my song can come thru, You'll hear all the words that I sing just for you. You'll know that it yours, you'll remember each word, It will sound like a song that I know you have heard. Just feel the melody, so familiar from the start, A song that you'll feel caressing your heart. I wait for the day that my song will come thru, You'll find that you know it, you'll sing with me too.
