This without a doubt is certainly your best. Effort results in excellence. Even if it is only your own.

That is a courageous young man. Although my life is and challenges are different, I can SO relate, in a way challenges can make you a fighter, apparently it did for your son, and it does for me. Very inspirational, Roy, and congratulations :)

Congratulations on your win, Roy, know the feelings after 3 sons and 3 grandchildren... But I saw that my middle son felt the same thing with his son and at the time of his graduation ( When my son graduated it was no big deal..) ~*

He is indeed an inspiration! I hope he receives a copy of this beautiful poem. Writing on point must have been difficult, deciding what to leave in, what to take out, so many emotions involved, yet you did wrap it in a direct telling that conveyed the emotion as well. I leave you a bit inspired myself by your write, your son. All the best ... CayCay

Thank you very much CayCay I must admit this did pull at the heart strings when writing, you are correct in saying that this is basically a summary of much longer poem that I wrote for him, thanks again for your very generous comment, Roy. :))

You must be one proud father. My son also struggled at school with what they called dyslexic tendencies. He now runs his own business and is such an entrepreneur. He finds a niche in the market and he's there. Your last two lines of this poem speak so much truth.
