My Son

My son josh, my first born, my blue eyed boy, My son josh, where have the years gone? Only yesterday , I held your soft, smooth face upon my cheek, You were laughing, watching cartoons, playing with toys, Getting dirty only like any other normal little boy... My son josh, we would go out together, you snuggled upon my chest, to keep you safe, A proud new mom, to show you off to everyone, my pride and joy, Holding back the tears, first day of school, a piece of my heart leaves, I watched so vilagitly waiting for your return, I know I must let go... My son Josh, a young handsome man you have become, Girls, work, school, life, a now big part of your life, You have been an awesome big brother, did I tell you that? Very soon, you will turn eighteen, a legal adult, no turning back, My heart is now full of love, so proud of what you have accomplished.. My son Josh, please know that You will always be my first born, my baby boy, My heart, you are becoming a man, I wish you all the very best, I couldn't be more proud, I know must let go, but Know you are forever in my heart...
