My Sister
Oh, how I miss, my sister, my friend,
Our love, like the circle, has no end;
Unshakable, unbreakable, authentic and true,
Not ephemeral like blossoms and morn’s early dew;
My mentor, my confidante, and my guide,
Applauded my efforts and filled me with pride;
There for me, no matter the hour,
A precious gem, a beautiful flower;
When I was down, she picked me up,
When I was thirsty, she filled my cup;
When I was sick, she never left my side,
Whatever the need, my sister supplied;
Her spiritual gifts were generosity and grace,
She always had a smile on her beautiful face;
She truly was an angel, sent from heaven above,
To canvass the earth, and paint it in love;
Oh, how I miss, my sister, my friend,
Our love, like the circle, has no end;
My love for her, will never depart,
She lives on, forever, inside of my heart;
