My Sight Astounds Me

I catch a glimpse at the mirror, And my sight astounds me Back in those days the sun rises with me And leaves me to take her place at dusk Gone is my smooth and creaseless skin And my catching and charming face That sways all and sundry Like dewdrops Gone is my beardless beautiful face That innocently radiates with warm smiles Time and toil has played its tricks And has suddenly caught up with me Gone is my hairy scalp That curly shone with no hoary strand Now they fear to stay on my head Receding like fearful soldiers Gone is my built-up vigor and might That bares me up and down the aisle Restless was I ...combing all nooks Clutching all I could with ease
