My Response To Rumi
For years you’ve heard others describe
what they call “getting saved,” accepting
Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
You’ve listened with great interest,
been moved by their sincerity,
and have wished (but only briefly)
to have what they say they have,
all while lacking full understanding.
Sometimes you feel confused,
envious, even angry. You cannot
yet have what they possess, for
you lack a special knowledge they
once had—realization of lostness.
If you want to be found,
you must see that you are LOST.
