My Religion
i saw the thickening
dark velvet cloud
approaching the place
upon which my little soul
dreams of the nada
that is near to come
below it lay the clear
yellowish ocean that
reflects the burning Sun
upon its cruel waves
that know only how to
slap on the infinite sand
when i looked back
there were men floating
in the air an inch above the ground
their faces were unclear behind
the hood of the red Dominican priest-like
robe that suggests the coming of Hell
i turned the pages of the Scriptures
and found the pacifying truth
of salvation, the serenity that i once longed for,
the assurance of being taken away
from the sharp fangs of the wicked
and the promise of infinite journey
