My Quiet Place
In my quiet place
it's just you and me.
In this darkened room,
only you can see.
My heart is on the floor
for you to truly know
all the things I have done,
that have taken over me.
I turn my eyes away,
I feel the deepening shame,
but I feel you deep in my soul,
and know it's all ok.
You remind it's all passed,
no longer who I am.
You tell me it's not what I do now,
and hold me in your hands.
It's in this quiet place,
I just sit with you.
Crying through it,
because you have seen all I do.
I pray that you save me
from this life that I knew,
that you take this mind
make it whole too,
rid me of these things
that I used to do.
In this quiet place
it is you holding me,
the darkness surrounds,
and you are covering.
