My Pot of Gold

To my love I shall pen a treat Sharing how I truly feel For your heart is my retreat Till death, love you, I will Instantly I fell in love with you And everything fell into place A first glance love forever true One I shall always hold in grace As the years come and go And age replaces our youth I shall adore your very soul Our love shall be my truth The truth with-in this Sonnet told Sweetheart you’re my pot of gold P.S. Currently my wife and I are in a struggle to keep our home. I'm compelled to devote my time to our current problems. I will return to the site asap. God Bless

I'll keep you in my prayers Michael. We are still hanging in there but I understand the problem. It seems to be a juggling act just to survive anymore. God Bless. Vince

What an uplifting poem! My thoughts and prayers go with you as you struggle to keep your home. With the economic melt down, most of us are facing challenges we would have never expected. Best wishes Michael. Thank you for your kind words regarding my poem. Blessings to you and your wife. Karen

Hi Michael, I am truly sorry, I have been there and done that, I lost one home and everything in it to a fire, and I lost another home to a complete foreclosure years ago, I was able to buy another home 2 years later, and I know that I did not do that on my own, that was accomplished with the Lord's help and his alone I will always keep you and yours in my thoughts and my prayers, love always Deneen

sometimes you wish you can give something and you can't. and then in hard times you try to hold on, and the test justs seems too much. but the real test is if she makes it through the tough times; then you know for your self you have something worth more than gold. jhl

This is so precious. I know you have a wonderful heart, and you are one of my dearest friends. I pray you get to keep your home, times are so bad right now. We are having the same problem, it has been almost two years we have waited on my disability to be approved. December is when we have our hearing, pray for us.....Always, Christy

Anyone can see by the words of this poem, you are rich beyond many. Your love and devotion for your wife is your greatest treasure, and no doubt is her love for you. Sigh. So beautiful to read this Michael. Except of course for your author's note. Will keep you in my prayers that you are able to keep your house. I am calling on angels. Troubling times for many. Love and hugs, Shar xoxo
