My Parting Gifts

My loved ones, I must leave. Before I do, I have three parting gifts, and you must know They are my best advice I share with you. First, inside your hearts, you must always find Forgiveness for yourselves and others, so Follow the Golden Rule; it makes one kind. Second, you must have positivity. Despite bad situations, all your days Laugh; smile; love life. Simply put, be happy. Finally, be thankful! Do not deny God’s hand in the creation; give Him praise For everything until the day you die. These final words are things you have been taught. Using these three gifts, you will be imbued With strength. Do these things; don’t just give them thought. Adieu, my dear ones. How I love you so May kindness, happiness, and gratitude Bless all your lives forever. Now I go. . . Written Feb. 19, 2016

These poems can make me so sad! I know yours is good because it succeeded in making me sad. I really like yours pointing out that they should actually do these things for them to work - seriously, that is needed. (Oh, did you want to type things or thing?) All the best ... CayCay

thanks for the save, my friend. I went to the contest page and noticed he wanted three verses only. So I had to do some quick thinking and change lines , add lines and revise the whole thing to fit the requirements, then I made that typo doing it.

No, not ME yet. This was for a contest. I really struggled on this one. Finally wrote the whole thing over again and this is still all I managed to come up with.
