YIKES......sorry Viv......I have entered and removed this poem from the contest...just a little hiccup...well more of a loud belch.  The theme got the muse running red lights and stop signs.

Key Rings He tossed me three keys mouthed the words “You’ll know”, Drifted slowly away - to out of sight - lingered to haunt my memory. I owned no locks so thought what use have I for keys? These keys? Unmarked treasure? unknown vaults, unseen need. The intensity in his eyes, his deliberate formation Of the words “You’ll know” cornered my skepticism. Age and experience revealed the value of the keys Their vague connections, subliminal suggestions. I saw it coming – that bus begrudgingly boarded Tossed him three keys mouthed the words “You’ll know”. 2/14/2016 submitted to – My Parting Gifts – Poetry Contest sponsor – Viv Wigley

Thanks CayCay. It is an interesting theme somewhat like the ending of the move The Time Machine where the scientist returned only to take three books back with him. The question posed....what three books would you have chosen???

Book: Shattered Sighs
