My Nine Months Gift
You came into our lives made from love
We watched you grow, knowing you came from above.
Hearing your first heartbeat, like that of a galloping horse in your tiny chest,
And seeing that first image of your hand outstretched,
Cause my tears to flood my face,
Knowing this little one inside me really is a dream.
Moving little by little
From butterfly tickles,
To those strong kicks and limbs stretching,
Announcing to the womb a miraculous one is growing, whose love is worth fetching.
Month after month you grew, heighten our expectation
And when you arrived, loving you was easy, as we bonded together as one
Oh so precious you are, our special gift,
Full of life, a true wish;
You fill us with uncontrollable laughter and bliss.
There are no words to express this joy you bring
Seeing you arriving after nine months, was a marvelous thing.
The birth of a child is truly a wonderful dream,
An intended gift of life full of sweet tenderness that only the birth of a baby could give,
My sweet nine months gift.
