My Mulberry Tree

From a tiny see that I did grow A Mulberry tree it did grow That tree gave birth to so much fruit As it grew tall, down went the roots And now it's grown, and grown, and grown The neighbours about it love to moan I chop and saw with all my might It seems this tree can't do no right Sooner or later it must come down To rid the neighbours of their fowns Written 7th March 2018 by Vera Duggan

Your mulberry tree loves the environment where it was planted, Vera, and it shows! Maybe instead of whining your neighbours could be thankful for the amount of fruit which they get for free:) Best regards // paul

Hi Paul, thank you so much for going back on this poem, yes we love our Mulberry trees, our neighbours will whine about anything, but they don't whine about our grape bushes that hang over their fence, take care Paul.....Vera

I would not be cutting it down at all; the neighbors will find something immediately to frown about. Sweet poem.

Hi Vera It is a beautiful write again. It shows your love to the tree which come out of a tiny seed and we take care of it like a baby . So cutting it down would be killing of a family person....because we have memories with trees. I also have a big mulberry tree. i love it . Thanks

Hi Maria, thank you so much for reading this poem and for your lovely comment, yes people can be quite awkward at times, but we also have a grape vine and orange tree hanging over so really we are supplying them with fruit, I agree why can't they let live, in my mind they are quite lucky, hope you are well, take care........Vera
