My Mother

I remember being a child, Growing into a teen. Then turning wild, Into one hardly ever seen. There is one thing, That has stayed the same. From summertime to spring, You let me find shame. Don’t think this is bad though, Let’s just say for instance. By you letting go, I found my independence. For this I am grateful, Always keeping you close at heart. You have been a mother that has been so helpful, I can only pray that I am up for the part. But Mom; there will always be, One thing you can count on me to do. You can always look in my eyes and see, Just how much I love you!!
