My Mortality

(This is a fictional poem but this really does happen to people everyday.) Last week I got some very disturbing news. I have lung cancer and my life is something I'm going to lose. In less than a year I'll be deceased. I'll have a tombstone that says Rest in peace. I smoked three packs of cigarettes everyday for over two decades. Now I'm about to lose everything and I really am afraid. I died a little more with each cigarette that I lit. If you're a smoker, you really should quit.
