My Morning Stroll
Strolling down the path on my morning walk
I stop to meditate in nature’s scene.
Ground shedding the dew, awakening trees
With long rays of sunlight dancing between.
The birds greet the day on branches above.
Awakening squirrels scurry down below,
Searching thru the leaves for a morning meal
For a nut they buried not long ago.
A new day unfolds with the morning light
Promising a new start for creatures all.
Following the path Mother Nature made,
Only she knows what dangers will befall.
The same holds true for me on my stroll,
Finding peace today is my only goal.
