My Mistake
Running into the darkness, away from the light. Hiding away from my fears. If I’m here in the dark no one can find me, no one can hurt me. Walking in between the shadows, never again will I let anyone see my face. Sitting in the corner, tears streaming down my face. If I never walk again, I will never fall. Sealing my mouth shut for you have taken all my words. I tried to live in the light with you, that was my mistake. For I walked out of my darkness, holding your hand into the light we went. But soon enough you let go, and I was blinded. I walked out of my darkness slowly, but I came running straight back.
